OUTLINE: The objective of this class is to create an environment where owner/captains of large personal watercraft cruising the Atlantic & Caribbean learn defensive firearms techniques.

The two principal focuses addressed are repelling pirates/boarders/thieves, and gun-fighting/room clearing skills for once your craft has been boarded.

The ultimate focus weapon for this is the Shotgun, however we utilize semi-auto carbines and pistols as well.

Topics covered in this course include:

* 1) Safety Discussion
* 2) Choice of Firearms by Task
* 3) Ammunition by Firearm – Task Driven
* 4) Shooting Skills from a Moving Target at a Moving Target,
* Moving and Shooting – Multiple Targets
* 5) Fire/Ammunition Control
* 6) Reloading under Stress & Malfunction Drills
* 7) Transitioning between Principal and Secondary Firearms
* 8) Tactical Movement on Board/Room Clearing/Teamwork Drills &
* Close Contact Shooting
* 9) Low Light Shooting Scenarios & Threat Identification

Course is 6 hours and the cost is $500. per person

Requirements:

* 12 gauge Shotgun with a sling
* Rifle or Semi-Auto Carbine (caliber .223 or larger) with a sling (optional)
* Handgun with Holster and minimum of 2 magazines or speed loaders w/ magazine pouch
* Eye & ear protection
* 2 rifle magazines with a capacity of 20+ rounds
* 50 rounds of low recoil 12 gauge 00 buckshot
* 100+ rounds of rifle ammunition
* 50+ rounds of frangible handgun ammunition
