DYNAMIC CONCEALED CARRY PISTOL
This course is an advanced level pistol-craft skills class and is shooting skills based.
The goal is to combine practical combative handgun techniques with the everyday concealed carry of your personal duty handgun and the issues of prevailing in encounters while under duress.
This class gives the student a solid hand’s on understanding of what is needed to deploy the defensive handgun from concealment and overcome all malfunction obstacles. By class end, you’ll be in a position to see your own shortcomings and where you need to practice on your own.
Topics that will be covered are:
1) Recapping the development of the combat/warrior mindset & concealment holster options/selection
2) Draw and re-holstering techniques to include enhancing your combative pistol and holster skills, & position “Sul”
3) “Live fire” receiver/chamber based bullet feeding malfunction drills
4) Magazine malfunctions & dynamic Magazine or Speed Loader changes under duress
5) One-handed, strong-hand, weak-hand drills to include reloading, malfunction clearing, racking
6) Firing through a purse for women (we will provide handbags)
7) Shooting from standing, kneeling, seated, supine, & prone positions
Shooting from behind & maximizing cover/concealment using all positions demonstrated in item 7
9) Rapid threat analysis and acquisition, moving off the “X”, shooting, & engaging multiple targets
10) Shooting when momentarily/temporarily vision impaired by light
and more as time allows…………
Cost: $500. per person for 8 hours
Requirements: Eye & ear protection, brimmed baseball-style hat, pistol chambered in 9mm, .38, .380, .40 cal, or .45 ACP with a minimum of two magazines or speed loaders (if they hit the ground they can become fouled – causing firearm malfunctions and reducing student time on the firing line), concealment style holster & magazine or speed loader pouch; 500 rounds of ammunition, Knee and elbow pads (optional), water bottle or hydration device, and, an open mind.
