Helo Carbine Operations 1

The use of an air asset brings a new set of solutions to the issues and problems of precision and anti-material shooting scenarios.

This course is designed specifically to build precision shooting skills with the use of a helicopter as a shooting platform utilizing core fundamentals to excel in aerial platform interdiction ops.

The course covers operations such as search and rescue; anti-material missions; surveillance; Visit, Board, Search and Seizure (VBSS) teams; Maritime Interdiction Operations (MIO) support missions; active shooter support; and, support for Protective Security Detail formations/motorcades. Students must be qualified and confident carbine operators, snipers, or, unit designated marksmen.

Students begin with building block style range exercises for the carbine which include but are not limited to moving & reactive targets, malfunction drills, and injury drills. After which we start the helicopter portion of the course.
Each skill set builds on the previous sections of training.
This course will create competence not available by any other means.

• Utilizing and rigging of different aircraft
• Proper weapons and optics selection and rigging

• Magazine fed semi-automatic rifle (.223 or higher)
• Single or double attachment point sling
• Cleaning gear for rifle
• 4 extra magazines & ammunition
• Pouches for extra magazines
• Pen, pencil, highlighter, and black marker
• Two small spiral notebooks or one rifle data book
• Flashlight
• Eye and ear protection
• Long sleeved shirts and long pants
• Durable boots or footwear
• Camelback or other hydration system
• Leather gloves
• Riggers belt
• Seat harness
• 4 locking carabiners
• Tape

Note:  Agency/Team must have air asset capability & availability for use in the class.
Contract aircraft (Little Bird/Hughes 500, Bell Jet Ranger, Sikorsky & Aérospatiale) are available & can be provided – but prices vary, please call for more information.
